Familiar faces ready to start

Metropolitan Police manager Jim Cooper was looking forward to playing three familiar faces against Billericay Town on Tuesday night in the Ryman Premier.

Ahead of the clash at Imber Court, Cooper announced that Craig King had returned on loan from his parent club Luton while Adrian Alexandru Markus had signed on dual registration forms with Wealdstone FC after recently obtaining his international clearance from Romania.

Veteran defender and midfielder Jay Lovett is also back in Cooper's squad, the 37-year-old returning from Lewes following the appointment of Darren Freeman as the new Rooks manager.

Cooper, pictured, said: "We have three 'newish' players signed in time for the game at home to Billericay and I am delighted that Jay Lovett has returned to the club from Lewes FC.

"He is very versatile as he can play anywhere across the back line and within the central midfield areas. With a small squad of players available, this type of player is very important to have at our disposal."

“Adrian Alexandru Markus has signed on dual registration forms with Wealdstone. He is a very promising player who has recently joined the Vanarama National League South outfit and obtained international clearance from Romania.”
