The Ryman League’s fans are digging deep for Sport Relief 2014 over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

Collection buckets for the annual charity appeal were set to be passed around among fans during Ryman League matches on Easter Saturday and again on Easter Monday after sports stars and celebrities helped the BBC appeal raise a record-breaking £51.2 million on the night last month during the televised fundraising spectacular.

In the run-up to this year’s event on Friday March 21, a host of Ryman clubs held their own fundraising events, once again raising thousands of pounds for good causes after fans, players and officials took part in sponsored challenges.

Highlights from this year’s TV charity marathon included David Beckham starring in the first new episode of Only Fools And Horses in over a decade.

Beckham wasn’t the only footballer involved this year. Gary Lineker co-hosted the show and Tottenham’s Michael Dawson, Arsenal's Jack Wilshere and Fulham’s Scott Parker were among others who took part in a special edition of Celebrity Mastermind.
