Fans urged to help restock charity's food bank

Ryman South Horsham have joined forces with a national charity to help local families in need.

The Hornets announced on Saturday that they'd teamed up with The Trussel Trust Food Bank to help families in crisis in Sussex who are struggling financially to feed themselves. Officials are now appealing for fans to raid their kitchen cupboards between now and the end of the season for any tinned and non-perishable foods they could donate.

Supporters, including away fans, are being urged to bring their donations to any of the club’s remaining first team and youth team fixtures at Gorings Mead.

Horsham Secretary Annie Raby said: "Many local families are struggling to make ends meet and are heavily reliant on the food bank to keep their heads above water. With a good push from Horsham Football Club, we hope we can replenish stocks that are needed to help them through these difficult times."
