The Bostik jury has spoken, and the winners of the April betting.net Performance of the Month Award can now be revealed.
Premier Division:
Our Premier Division plaudits go to Dorking Wanderers. Last Saturday they entertained Lowestoft Town in their last ever home match at beautiful Westhumble, and perhaps you might have expected the emotion of the occasion to get to them a little. Conversely it instead seemed to affect their opposition, as Wanderers crashed home eight goals without reply. Congratulations to Marc White and his side.
North Division:
To have any chance of remaining in the Bostik League, Romford had to beat seventh place Maldon & Tiptree last Saturday and pray! Well beat the Jammers they did- 4-2- and their performance was voted the most impressive of the month by our panel. Just in case you've been living as a hermit for the last week, they stayed up too- and that win was their fourth victory of the month! Congrats- and Up The Boro!
South Division:
After much discussion the decision was made that the Performance of the Month Award would go to Walton Casuals. An early April blip had put the playoff place long coveted by Anthony Gale's men in doubt, and victory over rivals Cray Wanderers on 21st was essential, but when they found themselves 1-0 then 2-1 down before eight minutes had elapsed that victory looked rather doubtful. The Stags rallied, however- indeed they did rather more than rally, coming away with a comprehensive 5-2 victory.
Congratulations to all at the Xcel Sports Hub.
