On the pitch
We started the month with Billericay Town winning their ninth of eleven games played over a four week period, and in so doing closing the gap at the top of the Bostik Premier League to three points on Dulwich Hamlet, who were losing against Enfield Town. AFC Hornchurch and Lewes remained at the top of the North and South Divisions, whilst our first #bostikmatchday feature of the month saw Potters Bar Town defeat Mildenhall Town. By the end of the month Billericay had taken top spot, but the Urchins and Rooks were still hanging on.
On the final matchday of the month we watched as Cray Wanderers managed their eighteenth game unbeaten- and we labelled them The Bostik Man City.

Leatherhead finally went out of the FA Cup at Wycombe Wanderers with Jack Midson the highest scorer in the competition (even though most of the national media seemed to forget that as the competition progressed), whilst in the FA Trophy Haringey Borough gave National League Leyton Orient a real fright at Coles Park before falling to unlucky defeat. We covered that one in "Sing if you're Haringey, sing if you're happy that way."
Amongst our other big stories, Maldon & Tiptree's Junior Ugedi-Uzokwe was feted as the 'Bostik Vardy' for scoring in fifteen consecutive league matches- he later earned a professional contract at Colchester United.
A large number of matches were postponed due to us getting so much rain that we were surprised when Billericay didn't build their own ark!
