FA Cup Second Qualifying Round- draw made

By Ian Townsend

Here's the draw for the next round of the FA Cup, as it affects our clubs

We have some fabulous matches in prospect in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, as drawn at lunchtime today. Amongst the highlights:

  • Burgess Hill Town’s reward for victory over Folkestone Invicta at the weekend is a trip to Hampton and Richmond Borough, who sit in third place in the National League South. The Beavers are now managed by long-time Hendon boss Gary McCann, so Hillians manager Ian Chapman will see a familiar face in the opposition dugout.
  • Great Wakering Rovers reward for victory over Wisbech Town is a trip to another National League South club, Wealdstone. Currently in sixth place, Wealdstone drew with our former favourites Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday.
  • Speaking of Hamlet, they’ll be hosting our League leaders, Tonbridge Angels, whilst Hamlet’s hosts Tooting & Mitcham United will be heading to National League South leaders Woking.
  • Worthing and Margate will also have trips to National League South opposition, Chelmsford City and Concord Rangers respectively, whilst Corinthian-Casuals or Whyteleafe have a similar journey, to St Albans City.

Here’s the entire Bostik section of the draw, with matches to be played on Saturday September 22nd. Winners will receive prize money of nine thousand pounds. Any replays will be played on or before the following Thursday.
