Corinthian-Casuals announce Remembrance initiative

On Saturday Corinthian-Casuals host Wingate and Finchley in the FA Trophy, and all serving members of the Armed Forces or the Emergency Services can watch for free. The club have announced- details here- that in honour of the Corinthians and Casuals players lost in the Great War, Forces and Emergency Services ID will gain visitors a free pass to the game. There will also be a commemorative programme- image below- and a collection for the poppy appeal.

In an appropriate twist, Wingate FC- the club who merged with Finchley FC to form the present club in 1991- were named after Orde Wingate, founder of the Chindit fighting force who fought famously and valiantly in Burma during the Second World War.
