Hamlet leave it late- and now move on to 'Wacky Dress Saturday!'

Dulwich close the gap on Billericay...with a visit to Folkestone to come

Dulwich Hamlet kept the Bostik Premier Division title race well and truly alive with a late, late show at Leatherhead last night.

In a match that promised much but delivered rather less- a little like leaders Billericay Town's trip to Dorking Wanderers the previous evening- it seemed very much as we approached the final moments that Billericay would go into tonight's match against Needham Market with a three point cushion and a game in hand; but Anthony Acheampong had other ideas. Manager Gavin Rose went for broke, sending his centre backs to help out the forward line, and in the very last minute Acheampong met a corner with his head and the net bulged, to the delight of those in pink and blue. Accordingly the gap at the top is down to one point once more, and Hamlet will be hoping that the Marketmen can repeat their heroics of late October and grab at least a point tonight.

Hamlet now move on to be the visitors in Folkestone Invicta’s last scheduled home game of this season- a match that has been designated ‘Wacky Dress Day’ in aid of one of the club’s favourite causes.

Home and away fans are invited to come along in fancy dress, and there will be a bucket collection for the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) which is very dear to all at FIFC. For more information, please see the original article here.
