Hendon help Hamlet

By Ian Townsend

and Silver Jubilee Park also chips in to help both clubs

On Tuesday 21st November Silver Jubilee Park hosts a top of the table clash between Hendon and Dulwich Hamlet, and Hendon chairman Simon Lawrence has been in touch with his Hamlet counterpart Liam Hickey to offer to help with the financial turmoil which Dulwich find themselves in at the moment- and which we chronicled last week.

More details of this offer can be found here- but in brief, for every adult spectator above last season's attendance of 151 who attends on the 21st, Hendon will put a fiver into the Hamlet 12th man fund, which is currently contributing towards player wages after the clubs management company, Meadow, pulled the plug as the latest step in their dispute with Southwark Council.

Hendon's Landlords, Silver Jubilee Park, have decided to get involved too- and to help both clubs. They have announced that they will give 50p to each club for every pint sold in the bar- and as the bar will be open from 6-11 that might well be a lot of money!

So head along in numbers on 21st, have a good time, and make an even bigger difference than usual to both clubs.
