His name is Luca...and he doesn't live on the second floor

The Witham Town keeper DOES win awards, though...

If you're good enough, you're old enough- and Witham Town keeper Luca Collins has demonstrated clearly that he has talent to outweigh his experience by picking up our North Division Samba Sports Golden Gloves Award for December, after conceding only one goal in five Matches as Town soared up the table.

Luca, still only 18 years old, received the award last week. He stated:

"It is an honour to win something like this in a league full of good, experienced goalkeepers- and it is a good confidence boost going forward to the second half of the season.

During December the back four- and indeed all of the lads in front of them- have been excellent, and without them there is no way would I be winning this award. It's a team game & their jobs deserved to be recognized as well as mine."

You're right, Luka, but they'll have to share your gloves as we're not sending another ten pairs! Congratulations!
