Isthmian League and Save the Children announce 2018-19 partnership

The Isthmian League and Save the Children are delighted to annouce a partnership for this season.

This is the latest charity partnership entered into by The Isthmian League- and as part of the relationship the League are making the charity the title partner of their well respected Youth League, as well as the Youth League Cup.

Save the Children is the world’s leading independent children’s organisation whose vision is a world in which every child doesn’t just survive, but thrives, and can go on to change the world. They stand side by side with children in the toughest places to be a child, doing whatever it takes to make sure they survive, get protection when they’re in danger, and have the chance to learn.

Nick Robinson, The Isthmian League chairman commented:

“As part of our charity commitment this year we want to highlight the plight of children throughout the world and to underscore the work which Save the Children has carried out for 100 years. Our Clubs are committed to community work and the League Board feel that this is an excellent way in which Clubs can demonstrate their commitment to their communities and help children not just in their immediate community but throughout the world. It is appropriate that we re-name our Youth League for this season and hope that all the Clubs connected with The Isthmian League will show their commitment to such a fine cause”.

Laura Skinner, Senior Partnerships Manager, from Save the Children said:

“We’re hugely honoured and excited to be partnered with The Isthmian League for their 2018-19 season. Throughout the year, Clubs will be getting involved through a variety of fundraising activities including match day collections and the charity’s much-loved Christmas Jumper Day. This will help us to continue our vital work around the world and in the UK, making sure every child survives, is protected from harm and given the chance to learn and thrive”.

Previous charity partners of The Isthmian League have been the British Heart Foundation, Prostate Cancer UK and the London Playing Fields Foundation.
