The winners of the Mitre Manager of the Month Awards for December have now been announced- and two- well, actually three- familiar names crop up!
The Premier Division winners were Harry Wheeler and Glenn Tamplin of Billericay Town. The Blues ended the month in second place after winning five of their six league matches- indeed only Merstham earned as much as a point against them- and also celebrated reaching the next round of the FA Trophy with victory over National League South Havant & Waterlooville.
We had a new winner in the North Division, and the award goes to Rob Small of Bowers & Pitsea. Rob masterminded five straight victories in December, including the 3-0 and 4-0 thrashings of promotion rivals Dereham Town and Barking.
Finally, in the South Division, Walton Casuals Manager Anthony Gale picked up his second award of the season. From the 5th to the 30th December Casuals notched up six straight victories, a run which started with a 3-0 win over a Sittingbourne side who had won their previous five away matches.
