The crisis at Dulwich Hamlet deepens

Hamlet confirm licence to play at Champion Hill 'terminated'

The future of Dulwich Hamlet seems even more uncertain than ever this morning. The club has just released a statement confirming that their landlords, Meadow Residential, have served notice that their licence to play at Champion Hill has been immediately terminated. This comes on the back of an article in the Daily Mirror claiming that Meadow have given the club an invoice for £121,000 in back rent (seemingly confirmed in the statement), and confirmation that Southwark Council have tabled an agenda item for their Cabinet Meeting on 13th March proposing the compulsory purchase of Champion Hill from Meadow, in order that the football club can have a guaranteed future and public housing can be built.

The club have released a short statement which can be read HERE.. We hope to have reaction from the supporters soon.
