Three Sunday evening transfers- on a Monday morning

Sparks, Moatsiders and Wingate announce additions

Yesterday saw three more additions- two in the Premier Division and one in the South Central.

Merstham announced the return to Moatside of Maldon and Tiptree keeper Chris Haigh. Chris turned out 18 times for the Jammers last season, as they finished in seventh place in the North Division. You can read more on that move HERE.

Wingate and Finchley added midfielder Scott McCubbin. Formerly of Burton Albion and Wealdstone, Scott is a man who probably never gets a moment away from sport, as when he’s not kicking a ball he’s involved with Jacksonville Jaguars as UK Sponsorship Director. Jaguars, you may recall, are owned by Fulham owner Shahid Khan- the man who is apparently interested in purchasing Wembley Stadium.

Finally, Mick Sullivan approached his first term as manager of South Park by announcing- via social media- his first signing, former Epsom & Ewell and Sutton Common Rovers keeper Michael Eacott, whilst confirming that there were ‘a few more (signings) on the horizon!’ You could be one of those signings if you pop along to one of the trials which the club are holding on Tuesday and Thursday evenings this week- contact Mick on Micksullivan33@gmail.com to register your interest.
