Two strikers move from Premier to North

Surprise acquisitions for Borough and Planters

It has been confirmed that two of the Premier Division’s most prolific strikers have moved to North Division clubs.

Firstly, Kingstonian have announced that Andre McCollin- who only rejoined the K’s from Merstham in December- has been allowed to leave the club due to a change in his personal circumstances. Bostik North Division promotion chasers Haringey Borough are the lucky recipients of this move, and it is possible that McCollin could line up at Coles Park on Saturday, as Borough take on another promotion rival, Heybridge Swifts.

Next, in rather a shock move, Leiston striker Matt Blake has moved back to Norwich United on a one month loan deal. Planter’s manager Steve Eastaugh, speaking to the club website, stated, ‘When the chairman told me he might be available I thought it was a practical joke!” Well it isn’t, and Blake, who has been displaced from the Leiston first team by the arrival of Jake Reed from Lowestoft, may even play tonight against Hertford Town at Plantation Park.
