Friday Night Football- at Margate TONIGHT

By Ian Townsend

Charity match this evening- for those desperate for a football fix!

Tonight sees the annual Supporters Charity Football match take place at Hartsdown Park, with money raised being donated towards local causes around the Thanet area.

Each year Groundsman Graham Ives and staunch Gate supporter Terry Scott pick a team consisting of MFC supporters to take the prestigious trophy. Supporters not playing or people craving a football fix are invited to come along and enjoy the fixture which kicks off at Hartsdown Park on the 1st team pitch at 7pm.

Supporters in attendance should note that all usual Matchday facilities will be open as usual meaning refreshments and alcoholic and soft drinks are available.

Those supporters who are also following the achievements of our England Ladies at this year’s Woman’s World Cup should note that the Lionesses fixture against Argentina will be shown in the Hartsdown Bar with kick off at 8pm.

As an extra incentive to come along and cheer on our Lionesses, the club are offering all draught beers and Guinness at £3 a pint once the England Ladies have scored two goals. Hartsdown Lager will be available at the reduced price of £3 throughout the evening.
