Fulham chance for Ryman's stars

By David Watters

Fulham are inviting ambitious young players from around the Ryman League to trial for a place among the next intake of students joining their elite football and education programme.

Taking place at three venues in Beckenham, Coulsdon and Motspur Park, the Championship club's training ground, pictured, between February and May, the trials for the 2017-18 academic year are aimed at players aged 16 to 18 who are currently studying in school years 11 or 12.

Fulham's Football & Education Programme provides academic support for pupils working towards A-Level and BTEC qualifications while training on a daily basis like professional footballers. Successful candidates will train on a full time basis while competing in the FA Youth Cup, Conference Youth Alliance League, Southern Youth Floodlit League and the National U19 Youth Football Development League.
