Get on your bike for charity!

By David Watters

Prostate Cancer UK are urging the fans, players and officials of the Ryman League to get on their bikes this summer to raise funds for the men's health charity.

Appointed as the Ryman League's official charity partner for the 2016-17 campaign back in August, Prostate Cancer UK are looking for fundraisers from all 72 clubs to take part in June's Football 2 Amsterdam challenge and even form a dedicated 'Ryman' team if enough can be persuaded to set aside any club rivalries!

Taking place from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 June as part of the charity's Men United campaign, football legends Les Ferdinand and Terry Butcher are expected to lead thousands of riders to Holland on a 149 mile trip from London and a lot further for those setting off from a second start line in Yorkshire!

Since being unveiled as the successors to the British Heart Foundation as the Ryman League's official charity, clubs and fans across the league have been supporting Prostate Cancer UK with bucket collections and other fundraising events.

Before the summer cycle gets underway every Ryman League club will get a final chance to back the charity this season over Easter with league wide bucket collections set to be organised at the double header of fixtures scheduled for the April Bank Holiday weekend.
