Goodliffe tipped for top

Harrow Borough manager Dave Anderson is backing Jason Goodliffe to be a massive success at Stevenage after his assistant manager left Earlsmead this week to return to the club where he forged his reputation.

The defender, 39, captained both AFC Wimbledon and Stevenage and also played for Sutton United, Rushden & Diamonds and York after starting out at Hayes. By stepping up to League One to join a club he won promotion to the Football League with, Goodliffe, pictured, will be reunited with Boro manager Graham Westley.

Anderson has no doubt he'll go far and said: "Everybody here wishes Jason all the best. When he asked me what I thought I just asked him whether he'd prefer Thurrock or Wolves away next season! Seriously though, he is a fantastic player, person and coach and he's also going to a very good club.

"This will not be his last move upwards in management and coaching. Like many others, I have no doubt in my mind that he will go a long, long way in the game."
