A former Blues player, the 36-year-old was unveiled on Tuesday as Keith Rowland's new number two at the Harry Abrahams Stadium.
The ex-Northern Ireland U21 kicked off his career in the Queens Park Rangers youth system, making two first-team appearances in the Football League before moving into Non-League football.
His first stay didn't last long, the midfielder helping Barnet return to the Football League in 2004 before switching to Dagenham & Redbridge. He later went on to play for Kettering, Grays Athletic, Dartford, St Albans City, Chesham United and the Blues before finishing his playing career at VCD Athletic as a player-coach.
