Greenwich escape bid reinforced

Borough bring in two before the visit of Horsham

Following Thursday's return of Jack Sammoutis, the folk at the DRS Stadium have kept up the pressure on their relegation rivals by announcing two more quality signings just in time for the visit of promotion-chasing Horsham.

The first is midfielder Theo Fairweather-Johnson. Theo, you may recall, was an integral part of AFC Hornchurch's promotion winning side last season, scoring a dozen goals as the Urchins charged to the North Division title.

Joining him this morning is another midfielder, and another who will be instantly recognisable to Bostik League supporters. It was announced that Charlie Allen was leaving Grays Athletic last Sunday, the day after he started in the blues midfield in their draw with Dereham Town. Well today the former Gillingham, Notts County and Margate man is likely to be taking on the Hornets, as his new club hope to continue their recent improved form and climb closer to safety.
