Hastings move for Elphick

Ex Worthing boss puts his boots on for a move to Pilot Field

Hastings United have announced the signing of former Worthing boss- and more recently, Burgess Hill Town defender- Gary Elphick.

United, who lost to playoff rivals Haywards Heath Town at the weekend, have a rather young squad and the experienced Elphick will undoubtedly be a boon as they attempt to get their promotion push back on track.

Elphick left Burgess Hill at the beginning of February, explaining that he needed some time away from the game, but that time is now most obviously up. He joined the Hillians in September 2017 and helped them win their annual fight against relegation, joining the club after leaving Worthing, where he had been both player and manager. He made twenty six appearances for the Hillians this season, the last in defeat to Bishop's Stortford on 26th January.
