Hastings need your old boots

Clear out your cupboard and help Hastings help the needy!

Hastings United have announced an appeal for your old boots and trainers, which they plan to ship to a fishing village called Gunjur in Gambia. They won't turn their noses up at shirts, shorts and socks, either!

The initiative is championed by club director Pat McCrossan, and the plan is to help the children in Gunjur- a village which has little in the way of modern conveniences but does have a shared passion for football- to enjoy our beautiful game by actually having some kit in which to play it. A donations bin will be set up by the club shop on matchdays, and United would be delighted if supporters, both home and away, would bring along their unwanted apparel in order that they can donate it to those who, without those donations, are never likely to have any.

You can read more at the Hastings website here, or contact Pat for more information here.
