Hayes, Hall and Wood announce incoming

New signings for Mildenhall, Hayes & Yeading and Northwood

Whilst the rest of us were marvelling as Belgium scored that last gasp winner against Japan, the good folk of Mildenhall Town, Hayes and Yeading United and Northwood were beavering away in the background to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season. We can bet that none of our clubs will be doing that tonight as England take on Columbia!

Northwood announced the signing of defender Sam Jenkins from Harpenden Town. Jenkins was a mainstay of the Town defence as they finished last season in third place in the Spartan South Midlands Premier- two points from promotion- but they’ll have to do without him this time around as he’ll be turning out for Dean Barker’s new look side instead.

Mildenhall Town Manager Dean Greygoose brought in a double- midfielder Jarid Robson from Haverhill Borough and a returning David Cooper from Bury Town- and you can read about those transfers here. It is also being reported by the Newmarket Journal that the club have signed striker John Sands from Needham Market, but this has yet to be confirmed by the club.

Hayes & Yeading United were rather greedy, announcing three signings. They brought back midfielder Josh Chamberlain, whilst adding former Royston Town and Cambridge City striker Kaane Fehmi and Beaconsfield Town forward Lee Barney.
