New manager, new team.
New Hertford Town manager Adam Fisher has wasted no time in making his mark on the squad at Hertingfordbury Park, signing so many players in time for tonight's match against Ware that we'll have to add them up as we go along.
First in came midfielder Wilson Chingoka and forward Taylor Rhiney from Bedford Town, and they were closely followed by defender Liam McCrohan and midfielder Luke Peerless from Berkhamsted. That's four- keep counting!
Forward Daniel Bond arrived from Welwyn Garden City, and he was joined by midfielder Johnny Butler from Barton Rovers. They were joined by former Swindon Town striker Jamie Calvin. As Len Goodman used to say with monotonous regularity, seven!
Next, we go Green. Defenders Josh Egyir and Ben Gray, striker Ash Abdollahi and goalkeeper Dan Purdue all join from Hendon. You might remember Purdue, as he made his debut in an FA Trophy replay at Slough Town last season and saved two penalties in the shootout to become an immediate hero at Silver Jubilee Park. That, although we've run out of fingers, seems to add up to an entire team- ELEVEN!
And finally, a couple of subs. Well, perhaps not, but you get the picture. Dara Dada, who previously played for Berkhampsted, Welwyn Garden City and Aylesbury- and Chris Brothwood formerly of Colney Heath and Cheshunt make it THIRTEEN. Head to Hertingfordbury Park tonight to see whether they can be a lucky thirteen- although they'll face a tough test as Ware still have promotion hopes.
