Carshalton Athletic are expected to formally unveil former Corinthian-Casuals manager Matt Howard as their new manager on Tuesday.

After announcing that Howard and his number two Luke Garrard were taking over at Colston Avenue on their official Twitter feed on Saturday, officials at the Ryman South's Robins said supporters should look out for a full statement on their official website after the Bank Holiday weekend.

Howard, pictured, guided Casuals to a mid-table finish in April and replaces Rob Scantelbury who stood down last Thursday after completing his brief of keeping the Robins in the Ryman League.

Scantlebury, who took over from Stuart Massey in November, guided the club to nine wins, five draws and fifteen defeats during his tenure to bring the feel-good factor back to Colston Avenue.

As well as appointing a new manager, Carshalton Athletic chairman Paul Dipre has also announced that he is also looking forward to work being completed on the Surrey club's new 3G pitch by mid-July.
