Howard warns of hard times ahead

Corinthian Casuals boss Matt Howard has admitted his side could be battling against relegation from the Ryman League until the end of the season.

Ahead of hosting Ramsgate in Ryman South at King George's Field on Saturday, Howard, pictured, moved to dampen expectations after a start to the season that had left fans harbouring hope of reaching the promotion play-offs.

Howard's side, missing six first team regulars, crashed to a third defeat in their past four games with a 4-1 reverse at South Park last weekend.

As he prepared his side to bounce back on Friday, the manager told www.suttonguardian.co.uk: "We got off to an absolutely flying start this season and maybe everyone got a little bit carried away with it. Over the course of 30-odd games, which is how long I’ve been here for, maybe we are just not good enough. Maybe it is going to be a long hard winter and we are going to be struggling."
