Inspectors on alert as storm hits fixtures

Early pitch inspections were sanctioned in all three divisions again on Friday as Ryman League officials took action to ease the pressure on clubs with storms expected to continue battering the country over the next 24 hours.

Three of Saturday's Ryman Premier fixtures and one game in Ryman North were postponed by 5.30pm by clubs who took advantage and called in match officials.

Inspections were due to continue throughout the afternoon and start again on Saturday morning to help fans, players and officials avoid unnecessary travel and disruption.
