Jammers are anything but Jammy, Robins are still bob-bob-bobbing along, Angels go clear, and we still have four 100%ers in the South East.

It’s our round up of yesterday’s action

Premier Division

Tonbridge Angels remain one of five unbeaten sides in the Premier Division, and also remain at the summit courtesy of a 2-1 home victory against Wingate & Finchley. Angels took the lead through Tom Parkinson twelve minutes before the break, and five minutes later Sonny Miles doubled their advantage- but not for long, as Tommy Tejan-Sie halved the deficit on the stroke of half time. The second half was goalless, and the result left Angels three points clear at the top.

Worthing are in second place, and it’s worth remembering- indeed a number of Worthing Away Boys would have us remind you- that they have a game in hand. Yesterday the Mackerel Men were one of four sides to fall behind but still clinch victory, Chinedu McKenzie’s goal giving Haringey Borough the lead at Coles Park before Alex Parsons and David Ajiboye- who has now scored exactly half of his sides eight goals- earned their side victory.

Bognor are up to third- although the Towners of Enfield would have you reminded that this is only on alphabetical order, the two sides having an identical record. The Rocks took on Kingstonian yesterday, and subjected Leigh Dynan’s side to their fourth defeat from six, a double from Dan Smith and a third from Bradley Lethbridge more than enough to defeat ten-men Kingstonian, for whom Elliott Buchanan got a consolation before Louie Theophanous, on as a sub, received his marching orders.

Enfield slipped to fourth but remain unbeaten, after a home draw with Dorking Wanderers- Sam Hatton seeing a first half strike cancelled out by Matt Briggs in the second half- whilst Folkestone Invicta are fifth, an early Kane Rowland strike- his first for the club since moving over from Sittingbourne- the only goal at Bishop’s Stortford.

Whitehawk are another of our comeback kids, recovering from 2-1 down to clinch victory at Burgess Hill. Brannon O’Neill gave Hawks the lead only for Andre McCollin to equalise and Ben Pope to put the Green Elephants ahead, but the next three goals were all Hawk-shaped, Lucas Rodrigues, James Fraser and Henry Muggeridge making the game safe.

AFC Hornchurch are also unbeaten since their return to the Premier Division, and they sit in eighth place after their fifth draw in six matches, this time 1-1 at home to also-promoted Carshalton Athletic. George Purcell gave the Urchins the lead from the spot, but Jerson Dos Santos was able to strike back seven minutes from time. Another promoted side, Potters Bar Town, are ninth- and they lost for the first time in the League this season after hosts Merstham staged a second half comeback. Dernell Wynter had given Bar the lead, but a goal just before the hour from Tom Kavanagh levelled matters, and then two in the last two minutes gave the Moatsiders victory, Tom Bird and Kershaney Samuels grabbing them.

Lewes travelled to Margate and continued their recent good form, a goal from James Hammond sending the points back to Sussex helped by a sterling goalkeeping performance from Lewis Carey, whilst Harlow Town were the last of our sides to come from behind and win, their feat coming at Fetcham Grove. Robert Cullen gave the Tanners an early lead, but Robbie Martin, Laurence Vaughan and Emile Acauah gave the other Hawks their first victory of the season.

Finally, Corinthian-Casuals and Brightlingsea Regent took a point each at Tolworth, Jack Strange opening the scoring for the home side with Matthew Baxter equalising two minutes after the interval.

North Division

There were contrasting results from the two sides who competed in the Maldon derby on Bank Holiday Monday, but the same outcome, with Maldon & Tiptree strengthening their grip at the top of the table whilst Heybridge Swifts fell to defeat. Maldon travelled to Grays Athletic, a match that you may recall they failed to win last season despite going two goals up and their opposition playing most of the match with a full back in goal. There were no slip-ups this time, as the Jammers powered home five goals without reply- two from De-Carey Sheriff, others from Shane Cojocarel, Chris Millar and Jack Cawley, as Joao Carlos was sent off for Athletic. Heybridge hosted a Dereham Town side, and were put to the sword, goals from Daniel Beaumont, Ollie Ebbage and George Quantrell earning an impressive victory and moving Town up to tenth, one place behind their hosts.

Felixstowe and Walton United moved into second place, a goal in each half from Jordan Matthews and Sam Ford giving them victory over Aveley, whilst Basildon United are third, their victory coming at Chadfields. Eljay Worrell gave them the lead only for James Walker to equalise for Tilbury, but Marcus Bowers secured the points nine minutes after the interval.

Coggeshall Town sit in fourth, after a 3-0 win at Soham Town Rangers- Aaron Condon, Ross Wall and Nnamdi Nwachuku with the goals- whilst a Quentin Monville goal earned victory for Bowers & Pitsea at AFC Sudbury and saw them end the day fifth. Romford lost for the first time, going down 3-0 at Barking who won for the first time- a brace from Darelle Russell and a late goal from Joe Bruce the difference, whilst Canvey Island are seventh after a 2-0 win over Bury Town, Frankie Merrifield and Marlon Agyakwa doing the damage.

Great Wakering Rovers (Scott Thomas) and Brentwood Town (Albert Levett) shared a point each, whilst Witham Town (L’Heureux Menga) and Mildenhall Town (John Sands) did the same.

South Central Division

It’s all hail Bracknell Town, the only side in the Division to maintain a 100% record after a 3-0 victory at South Park yesterday. Joseph Grant (2) and Seb Bowerman gave them the points and kept them at the summit.

Two points behind and in second place are Hayes & Yeading United, who yesterday comprehensively swept aside promotion rivals Tooting & Mitcham United 3-0. You can read about that in detail HERE as it was our #bostikmatchday feature. Waltham Abbey are up to third, having won every match since their opening day loss at Bracknell- yesterday travelling to Northwood and coming away with a 2-0 victory courtesy of Ronnie Winn and Charlie Stimson. Hanwell Town slipped up for the first time as FC Romania won their first ever match at this level, Dumitru Gritcan with the goal in the second half.

Uxbridge are fifth, but only got one point at Hertford Town due to a last minute equaliser. Joe Clemo had given Town an early lead, but goals from Jabir Laraba and Dylan Kearney turned the game on its head before Tyler Hatherly’s late strike. Just behind them are Marlow, who scored a first half double at Westfield through Jordan Brown and Kameron English before Tinashe Nkoma reduced the arrears, but it wasn’t enough to earn Westfield a point.

Cheshunt and Ashford Town sit eighth and ninth and shared the points yesterday, Oluwole Akinsanya giving the Ambers the lead before Mark Bitmead got a goal for the Tangerines, whilst Chalfont St Peter are up to eleventh after a 3-0 victory over Egham Town, a Charlie Mitchell double sandwiching a Dan Fleming effort.

Finally, Ware sit in 14th, coming from behind to deny last-placed Molesey their first victory of the season. Dave Cowley gave Ware the lead, but a double from Tayo Oyebola put the Moles in charge, before Harley Haag got an equaliser two minutes from time.

South East Division

Six one hundred per cent sides became four, and Hastings United maintained their top spot with a comprehensive victory over another of their former full-point rivals, Phoenix Sports. Daniel Ajakaiye is striking horror into opposition defences this season, and he scored his eighth of the season in the 24th minute, before following up with his ninth seven minutes after the restart. Jack Dixon then added a third, and there was no way back for Sports.

Cray Wanderers are second, and behind only on goals scored, an own goal and a second half Ben Mundele goal giving them victory over East Grinstead Town at Hayes Lane, whilst Whyteleafe are third, all of the goals in their 3-1 win over Horsham coming in the first half. Bradley Wilson and Eddie Dsane gave Leafe a 2 goal advantage, before Lewis Hyde struck back for the Hornets; but a Harrison Carnegie overture gave Leafe their advantage back on the stroke of half time.

VCD are becoming 2-1 specialists, recording this outcome for the third time this season with victory over Three Bridges, the away side still looking for their first point. Leon Lalor-Dell got a double, with Tyrone Berry responding for Bridges.

In fifth place- just ahead of Sports- Ashford United lost their 100% start in falling 1-0 at Whitstable Town, a goal six minutes from time from Tom Walmsley giving the Oystermen their first victory of the campaign. Hythe Town, in seventh, were also the scorers of a late goal, in their case very late indeed as a Zak Ansah strike- who else- broke the deadlock in the very last minute at Haywards Heath Town, whilst there was also a last minute strike for Sevenoaks Town in their match at Faversham Town- Thomas Ripley with it- but it was no more than a consolation as by that point Faversham had three, a Harry Goodger double and one from Jack Harris. Faversham sit eighth.

There were two late goals- one for each side- as Guernsey defeated Ramsgate at Footes Lane. Kyle Smith had given the Channel Islanders an early lead, and Charlton Gauvain doubled it one minute before the end, only for Harry Stannard to pull one back in the very last minute. But it wasn’t enough, and the Green Lions took the points, moving to ninth.

Perhaps the match of the day took place at Princes Park, as Thamesmead Town recovered from conceding a first minute goal to Sittingbourne to win 5-4! Tom Loynes scored that goal, before a double from Nassim Dukali seemingly put Mead in control, but Dan Parkinson soon levelled matters. Richard Pacquette and Dukali with his hat trick then made it 4-2, but Sittingbourne then reduced the arrears once more through Lewis Chambers to make it 4-3 at half time. Trey Williams made it 5-3 with half an hour to go, but a Nathan Elder goal sixteen minutes from time made the last quarter of an hour extremely interesting, but there were no further goals and Mead took their first three points of the season.

Finally, Greenwich Borough picked up their first win of the season at Herne Bay. A double from Teshuane Tyreece Walters earned the points for the Cannons, despite Bradley Schafer scoring for Bay.
