January manager of the month

By Peter Butcher

THE Macron Manager of the Month awards for January were announced today.

Concord Rangers manager Danny Cowley takes the Ryman Premier prize. His team recorded a 100 per cent record in their three league matches during January as they climbed to their highest-ever league placing.

Whitehawk also had a 100 per cent record during the month but were not considered for the award under the league’s Respect rules, having received a Bench Dismissal during the qualifying period.

The Ryman North award goes to Keith McMahon of Thamesmead Town. His side played four league matches during the month, all at home, and won all four to put themselves in the thick of the play-off battle.

Folkestone Invicta won four of their five league matches during January, the best record in Ryman South, and so their manager Neil Cugley lifts the award for that division.

A winner earlier this season was Crawley Down Gatwick manager John Maggs and he is pictured (left) receiving his trophy from Gary Johnson, a member of the league's board of directors. (Picture by Les Biggs).
