Keeper is top priority after defender's arrival

Harrow Borough manager Dave Anderson is focusing on finding a new keeper after strengthening his defence earlier this week with a season long deal for Anthony Maissiat.

The 26-year-old central defender, pictured, committed to the new Ryman Premier campaign after spending last year at Earlsmead on a dual registration with Hemel Hempstead Town. The ambitious French player signed on for another season following talks with Anderson on his plans and the club's ambitions for the upcoming campaign.

Maissiat began his career in his native France playing for Beaune Youth before moving into adult football with Ligue 2 side Digon FCO. He transferred to Ligue 1 side Evian-Thonon-Gaillard FC before moving to England. Last season he made 13 appearances for Boro’, scoring one goal.

Anderson, who now has a squad of 19, told the club’s website he still had more "adjustments" to make ahead of the new season and would now make replacing former Arsenal keeper Shea, who moved into League 2 with AFC Wimbledon earlier this month, his top priority.

Shea, 23, joined Boro’ in October after a brief spell in Ryman North side Needham Market. He left with the club’s best wishes after winning the VPs Player of the Year, The Players’ Player of the Year and The Supporters’ Player of the Year last season.
