Late arrivals boost Blues

Bury Town

Bury Town made two late additions to their squad ahead of Saturday's 2-2 draw at East Thurrock on the opening day of the Ryman League campaign.

Manager Richard Wilkins strengthened at the back with the arrival of defenders Adam Bailey-Dennis and Taylor Nathaniel at Ram Meadow.

Bailey-Dennis has previously played for Colchester United as well as making over 100 appearances for Braintree Town in the Football Conference.

Full-back Nathaniel is a former Luton Town and Histon youngster who joins the Ryman Premier's Blues from Conference South side Bishop`s Stortford. He is on a dual registration as cover for the injured Russell Short.

* Australian striker Anthony Roulston has flown more than 10,000 miles to follow his footballing dreams in the Ryman League with the Blues.

The 19-year-old, who was a youth-team player at Australian A-League side Brisbane Roar and most recently at fourth-tier club North Pine, has proven to be a pre-season hit with two spectacular goals to his name.

The Suffolk side offered the teenager a deal and he told www.buryfreepress.co.uk: "I’ve given them everything and I was really happy when they asked me to sign. Football is my life — I love playing it, it’s everything to me. I wanted to give it a good crack, so I came to England to see what football is like over here."
