Leafe branch out

McCollin and Mendy join the green revolution

Whyteleafe, in fifth place in the Bostik South East Division, have strengthened substantially before todays match at second place Hastings United, bringing in a striker and a midfielder- both of whom will be very familiar to supporters across our League.

The striker is Andre McCollin, who arrives from Premier Division Burgess Hill. McCollin has been a bit of a nomad of late, ending last season a promotion winner at Haringey Borough before starting this one at Harlow Town. He moved to the Green Elephants Stadium in August, and on his day is a fantastic goalscorer- Leafe will hope that his day is today! He has made twenty five appearances this season, scoring four times.

Joining him at Church Road is Laurent Mendy. Mendy spent last season at Thamesmead Town before moving to Greenwich Borough, for whom he has made twenty one appearances this campaign, scoring four goals. Coincidentally his last match for Borough was the 4-1 defeat at Leafe a fortnight ago.
