So three Ryman League clubs are through to the first round proper, including Maidstone who were successful on Saturday. Wealdstone, semi-finalists last season, replay at Corby tomorrow.

Our other two sides were beaten in their away replays, Canvey took a first-half lead at Chesham through Bradley Woods-Garness but went down 2-1, the winner coming with three minutes left.

Leatherhead, facing a difficult visit to Conference South side Bath, held out for 36 minutes but were beaten 2-0.

Meanwhile, Canvey Island’s other side, Concord Rangers, were celebrating a remarkable goal scoring feat by Jason Hallett, who claimed SEVEN of their goals in an 8-2 county cup victory over Essex Senior League side Takeley.
