Macron name their top stoppers

Tonbridge Angels keeper Anthony Di Bernardo is celebrating his second golden gloves accolade of the season after being unveiled alongside Waltham Abbey's James Pellin and Lenny Pidgeley at Hastings United as February's safest hands in the Ryman League.

Di Bernardo, who collected August's inaugural Precision Goalkeeping Golden Gloves honours in the top flight, was named ahead of the weekend's action with first time winners Pellin and Pidgeley in Ryman North and Ryman South respectively.

Thanks to the awards being sponsored again this season by Nottingham-based Reydon Sports PLC, the UK's largest sports and leisure wholesale and distribution company through their Precision Goalkeeping brand, the trio will all be receiving a pair of Precision Goalkeeping gloves provided by ProKit UK, the nominated retailer administering the awards.

Di Bernardo collects his second safe hands laurels in the Ryman Premier for conceding just four times in six outings. Signed in May 2015 from Peacehaven & Telscombe, the 33-year-old's performances laid the foundation for four wins and two draws for his promotion-hunting side.

To win his first accolade of the campaign in Ryman South with promotion-hunting Hastings United Pidgeley conceded just three times in seven games, in the process keeping five consecutive clean sheets.

Abbotts stopper Pellin wins his first award in Ryman North for helping Waltham Abbey climb further away from trouble and into mid-table security, the stopper keeping five clean sheets in four wins and a draw.

Precision Goalkeeping boast an impressive list of keeping talent on their books including Kasper Schmeichel, Kieren Westwood, Tomasz Kuszczak, Darren Randolph, David Forde, Frank Fielding, Brian Jensen, Robert Olejnik, Andy Lonergan, Ian McLoughlin, Trevor Carson and Republic of Ireland goalkeeping coach and former international Alan Kelly. Established in 2005, the company also has official partnerships with the Irish Football Association and the Football Association of Wales.
