Dereham Town have announced that management duo Neal Simmons and Matt Parkinson have left the club with immediate effect. The Magpies currently sit bottom of the North Division, with only fourteen points after having three points deducted earlier in the campaign- a far cry from this time last season, when for a while they sat at the very top of the table.
Simmons took on the role of manager in the summer of 2017, after previously spending nine years as Assistant to Matt Henman- but he has been involved with the club for more than fifteen years. The club have called the decision to release the manager 'very difficult'- but have confirmed that they expect to have news on successors within a day or two.
The club statement can be found here.
