Man overboard! Trawler Boys look for a new manager

Shock in Suffolk as Lowestoft manager Gallagher resigns

Lowestoft Town have announced the departure of their long serving manager, Ady Gallagher.

Gallagher, who had been at the club for eighteen years and was in his third as sole manager of the first team, considered leaving at the end of last season but at that point decided to stay, however he has now decided that "fresh impetus is needed to take the football side (of the club) forward again."

The Trawler Boys have had a mixed start to the new season and currently sit in seventeenth place in the Bostik Premier Division, thirteen points above the one relegation position and ten points off the playoffs. In their last League match, at Merstham, they lost 6-2, and on Saturday a vastly depleted squad- they could only field two substitutes, and one of them was a goalkeeper- lost by three goals to nil at Worthing in the FA Trophy.

Dale Brooks has temporarily taken control of first team matters.
