Managerial departures

By Ian Townsend

Manager Spillane leaves the Millers, whilst Piper formally leaves Worthing

Two managerial departures were announced yesterday- one perhaps expected, the other slightly surprising. Firstly, Worthing FC- who last week appointed Adam Hinshelwood as their new manager, announced that former manager Gary Elphick's number two, Matt Piper, has decided to seek pastures new. Details here.

Then as we approached kick off yesterday evening, Aveley FC announced the departure of their manager, Terry Spillane, and invited applications for the post. See their reasoning here.

We send our best wishes to both Matt and Terry, and hope to see them back in our League very soon.
