Margate

Former Conference striker Charles Ademeno is set to spearhead Margate's attack in the new Ryman League campaign after he was unveiled as the latest recruit at Hartsdown Park on Monday.

The Premier Division club's joint managers Simon Osborn and Craig Holloway also announced the signing of another frontman, winger Warren Whitely who was with Bury last season along with the re-signing of key midfielder Richard Avery for another campaign.

Ademeno, 24, is pictured signing for the club with Secretary Ken Tomlinson after impressing in pre-season. Margate say signing the frontman, whose previous clubs include Southend United, Bishops Stortford, Cambridge United, Welling United, Rushden and Diamonds, Salisbury City, Crawley Town, Grimsby Town, AFC Wimbledon and Eastbourne Borough, shows that their management team mean business in their first full season in charge since replaving the departed Chris Kinnear towards the end of the last campaign.

Joint manager Osborn said: "Charles is a good signing with a great pedigree and will work well with the strikers that we already have at the club. But these kind of deals don't just happen by themselves. [Margate Chairman] Keith Piper has been instrumental in bringing Charles to Hartsdown Park and has backed myself and Craig to make it possible. We are grateful for his backing and hope we can continue to move this great club forward together."

Skilful winger Whitely, 27, has previously turned out for Croydon, Three Bridges, Harrow Borough, Chelmsford City, Maidstone United and Bury Town. Holloway believes his arrival is another coup for Gate and added: "I am delighted to bring Warren to the club and he really adds an exciting dimension to our attacking options."

Midfielder Avery, 27, was signed by Kinnear in July 2011 and has been a key player during the last two campaigns. Despite battling a number of injuries, he enters his third season with the club having already made 77 appearances and scored ten times.

Avery's previous clubs include Dartford, Chatham Town and Thamesmead Town and he has scored 10 times in 77 appearances for 'The Gate'.
