Millers nab midfielder from promotion rivals

By Ian Townsend

Aveley announce a new signing- and he comes from the side just below them in the table

Aveley and Maldon & Tiptree, in second and third place in the Bostik North table, have the same number of points and the same goal difference. And now there's another similarity- soon, midfielder Harvey Brown will have played for both clubs this season.

Brown, who started his career in the youth team at Dagenham and Redbridge, signed for the Jammers at the start of last season and was al almost ever=present in their midfield. This season starts have been more difficult to come by, and he has generally been on the bench, last featuring in the Maldon first eleven in the Essex Senior Cup defeat to Brentwood Town last month.

He was on the Millers bench as an unused substitute in this week's draw with Great Wakering Rovers, and may make his debut for his new club in the derby match with Grays Athletic on Boxing Day.
