Monday's Ryman North action review

By David Watters

Thurrock moved into second place in the Ryman League Division One North table after a comprehensive 4-0 win at lowly Barkingside on Monday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Mark Stimson`s side were dominant and scored twice in each half. Dan Francis put them in front after 20 minutes and just three minutes later Lewis Spence added their second.

But, despite being on top for the majority of the game, the visitors had to wait until the final four minutes to add to their tally, firstly through Ross Wall and then Jay Simpson.

Monday`s other game, not far away at Mill Field, saw Aveley leap-frog Cheshunt into seventh place after a 3-1 success.
