Ryman League Premier Division

Harrow Borough secured their safety in the Ryman Premier on Monday night with a 2-1 'away' win at Earlsmead against groundsharers Hendon, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Dave Anderson`s side needed the points to ensure their survival, but they left it late. Leon Smith gave Hendon, who still had a mathematical chance of making the play-offs at start of play, the lead just shy of the hour-mark but they were unable to punish Boro further when they had the lions` share of the play in the opening half.

And they were made to pay when Victor Osobu equalised in the 74th minute with an excellent effort. A point apiece then looked on the cards until Steve Butterworth, on as a 66th minute substitute, grabbed all three points for the `visitors` in time added on at the end of the game.
