Monday's Ryman Premier action review

Ryman League Premier Division

Alan Dowson's first match in charge of Ryman Premier Hampton & Richmond Borough saw his new charges take home a hard-fought point from a 2-2 draw at Earlsmead against Hendon on Monday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Jesse Kewley-Graham shocked the home supporters after just 20 seconds when he fired past Ben McNamara without a Hendon player having touched the ball. The Greens, who are third in the table, equalised after 23 minutes through Dave Diedhiou and then Leon Smith put the hosts into the lead three minutes before the break.

It looked as though the third-bottom Beavers were going to suffer a seventh defeat to date but with less than five minutes left on the clock, Paris Mason chased what looked like a lost cause and after winning the ball crossed for Karle Carder to fire home and earn Dowson and his new assistant Martin Tyler a welcome point.
