Monday's Ryman Premier action review

Ryman League

Mathematically, Hendon can still win the Ryman League Premier Division title after their 4-2 win over already-relegated AFC Hornchurch on Monday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

However, in reality, the title will go to Maidstone United unless they lose at home to East Thurrock United on Saturday and the Greens hammer Leiston by around 20 goals!

At Earlsmead on Monday night, Charlie Goode gave Hendon a 10th minute lead before they doubled their advantage on 33 minutes. The Greens won a penalty and although Sam Mott saved the kick, Kezie Ibe followed up to place the ball into the net.

Hornchurch were rewarded just after the hour mark for their efforts, drawing level with two goals in as many minutes. First, Tobi Joseph fired in at Daniel McNicholas` near post on 63 minutes and then George Purcell prodded the ball over the line at the far post after combining with Joey May.

But Hendon regained the lead on 80 minutes through Adam Wallace on the break and although the Urchins almost levelled within seconds through a Purcell volley, it was Hendon's Leon Smith who scored in the final minute to secure the points.
