Monday's Ryman South action review

By David Watters

Ryman League South Division

A decent crowd of 411 saw Hastings United return to second place in the Ryman League Division One South table on Monday night after a comfortable 3-0 win against Folkestone Invicta at the Pilot Field, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Sean Kelly headed the hosts into an 11th minute lead but in general the first half was a disappointing affair for fans. Sam Adams eventually put some clear daylight between the teams when he added Hastings' second on 64 minutes and just three minutes later it was game over when Kenny Pogue made it 3-0. Folkestone had the home side on the back foot in the closing stages, but were unable to find a response.

Hastings are now just a point behind leaders Walton Casuals while Invicta remain fourth-bottom.
