No action but spoof still goes viral!

The media team at Ryman South Greenwich Borough have been making headlines around the world with a spoof highlights video of an abandoned cup tie!

Instead of footage from last week's London Senior Cup clash against Hanwell Town going in the can, the specially created video went viral and by the weekend had received more than 100,000 hits on Boro's YouTube channel.

Despite nothing of note actually happening in the 15 minutes before last Tuesday night's game was called off, Boro's imaginative filmmakers managed to create a 19-second highlights package featuring the kick-off, the referee's conference with the managers and the players walking off the field, all accompanied by a dramatic soundtrack!

To the club's delight the spoof has been covered by a number of popular football blogs including 'Who Ate All The Pies' and numerous national news websites including The Mirror's. To see the footage click here: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRqx0O8eKi4RWEs3qwuMWoQ.
