No shortage of awards at Sparks!

By David Watters

South Park boss Malcom Porter and his squad have collected not one but three Ryman League accolades!

The Sparks boss and his team were honoured by Ryman League vice-chairman Craig Johnson on Monday night before hosting Whyteleafe in Ryman South at their Surrey ground in Reigate.

No strangers to accolades this season already after winning Macron's Team Performance of the Month Award for November, the club's stars are pictured being presented with December's performance honours for their 3-1 victory at Southern League North Leigh in a Buildbase FA trophy first round proper replay.

Porter is among the front-runners to be the Ryman League's manager of the year after recording successive wins in the Macron and Nicholas Rowe Tailoring Managers of the Month accolades.

Before seeing his side go down to a late winner this time out, he collected his engraved glass trophies from joint sponsors Macron as their top boss for December and January.

Porter earned the Ryman South's accolade in January for flying the flag for the Ryman League as far as the second round proper of the FA Trophy before his side's exit at former Football League side Tranmere Rovers.

Porter also guided his Sparks to victory at Harrow Borough in the third round of the Alan Trophy sponsored by Robert Dyas and four straight wins in the league to keep them in the race for the play-offs with games in hand on all the clubs above them.

Apart from beating North Leigh in the FA Trophy in December, Porter guided his side to three wins on the spin, the Sparks scoring 13 goals along the way, to win earn his first managerial accolade/

Like all winning managers he's also been measured up for two new suits at Nicholas Rowe Tailoring's long-established 7000 sq ft Suit City in nearby Redhill.

While there's no restriction on the number of suits that can be won over the course of the campaign, joint bosses must win more than once with the monthly prize from the Surrey tailors restricted to one suit per winning club under the terms of a unique sponsorship deal in English football.
