Nuts and Bolts add two

Ashford bring in a duo

Ashford United came within a hair's-breadth of promotion from the South East Division last season, losing in the Playoff Final to Horsham. Summer has seen perhaps their two top names- Sam Corne and Dan Parish- depart, the former signing for Maidstone United- but today the rebuilding began with the announcements that Zak Henry and Brandon McCarthy have headed to Homelands.

Henry finished last season with Grays Athletic, although he began it at South East Division champions Cray Wanderers- indeed he was on the bench as the Nuts and Bolts lost to the Wands last September.

McCarthy spent much of his season at the wrong end of the South Central Division, where he turned out for Egham Town. He was one of the few successes of the Sarnies season, finding the net eight times.
