One out, one in for Bees

Basildon United lose a player to Bowers- and bring in a defender

Basildon United announced on Wednesday that midfielder Fahad Nyanja was heading back to North Division leaders Bowers & Pitsea- and last night filled that gap in their squad with the signing of a defender, Jerry Puemo.

Puemo began his career as a member of the Aldershot Town Academy- where, incidentally, he shared a dressing room with Nyanja- and more recently turned out for Farnborough in the Evo-Stik South Premier. His last match for the club was a defeat to Metropolitan Police in November- but fans of another Bostik League club, leaders Lewes, may remember him getting sent off in a cup tie against the Rooks in September.

United travel to face Grays Athletic tomorrow.
