Oysterboys sign a champion

Whitstable raid Wanderers

Whitstable Town have confirmed the signing of Cray Wanderers defender Marcus Evans.

Evans spent much of last season on the bench as Wands romped to the South East Division title, making only ten appearances- the last one in victory over Hythe Town last month. He also started in a two-nil victory over his new club back in August.

Whitstable manager Lloyd Blackman, speaking to the club website, had this to say:

"I’ve been following the career of Marcus for the last 18 months and once I spoke to him it was clear we both had identical intentions. He’s a cultured central defender at a fantastic age, whose drive to improve is second to none."
